Answer
Lightning Payroll watches the SuperStream network for responses to the messages you have sent. When a super fund or the network returns a response for one of your submissions, an email with the subject New Superstream Response Received is sent to your registered address. It lists the conversation ID, message UUID, original upload time and message status, and attaches the fund's response as a PDF.
Do I need to do anything?
Often, no. Funds mainly respond when something needs your attention, but some responses are simple acknowledgements. Open the attached PDF and check what it reports:
- If the response reports an error or a rejected contribution — for example a member could not be matched, or the fund has returned money to your account — open the message in the SuperStream Mailbox (reached from the Super Fund Deposits screen in both the desktop and online apps) to read the full details, then correct the problem and resend. See How Can I Resend SuperStream Messages and Super Deposits When the Super Fund/s Have Returned the Money to My Account? and How Do I Manually Fail A SuperStream Message To Resend It?
- If the response is an acknowledgement with no errors or warnings, no action is needed.
The same responses can be reviewed inside the program at any time. See How Do I Check SuperStream Responses And Read Message Details In The Online App? and How Can I Search My Super Deposits And SuperStream Mailbox?
Receiving more of these emails than you would like? Notifications for successful scheduled contributions can be turned off from the website under My Account — see How Do I Stop Getting Super Email Notifications After Scheduling Superstream? Error notifications are always sent.
