Answer
Manually failing a SuperStream message releases its associated super fund deposits so they can be included in a new message. This is typically needed when a fund has refunded money due to an error, or when the original message was never received.
For the equivalent process in the desktop app, see How Can I Resend SuperStream Messages and Super Deposits When the Super Fund/s Have Returned the Money to My Account?
Open the SuperStream Mailbox
- Go to Super Fund Deposits in the main menu.
- Click SuperStream Mailbox.
- Use the Start Date and End Date fields to narrow the date range to when the original message was sent. You can also filter by Filter By Status, Filter By Fund, or Filter By Employee to locate the message more quickly.

Open the Message
- Locate the message you need to fail in the list.
- Click View next to that message to open the Message Information screen.
Manually Fail the Message
- On the Message Information screen, click Manually Fail.
- A confirmation prompt will appear. Review the details, then confirm to proceed.
- If the message has a pending scheduled payment, a warning will appear: "This contribution has a pending scheduled payment. If you continue, the scheduled payment (and the Ozedi upload) will be cancelled." If you are happy to cancel that scheduled payment, confirm to continue.

Note: The Manually Fail button is only available for messages that are eligible to be failed (for example, messages in a Sent status). If the button is greyed out, the message may already be in a failed state ÔÇö in that case no action is needed before resending.
Resend the Deposits
Once the message is marked as failed, its deposits are released. Return to Super Fund Deposits and use SuperStream Contribution to include those deposits in a new message and resend them.
