Answer
Manually completing a SuperStream message tells Lightning Payroll to stop waiting for a SuperStream response for that message. Nothing is sent to the super fund. Use it when you have received confirmation outside the SuperStream network that the message was processed successfully, or when a contribution needs to move forward even though its response never arrived.
Steps
- Open the SuperStream Mailbox from the Super Fund Deposits screen, in either the desktop or online app.
- Click Mark Complete on the message's row, or click View to open the message and click Manually Complete.
- Confirm at the Manually complete this message? prompt.
For a contribution message, the prompt reminds you that manually completing does not pay the Direct Entry contribution — you can still create its Direct Entry payment afterwards. For any other message type, only continue if you received confirmation outside the SuperStream network that the message completed successfully.
The buttons are only available for messages that are still waiting on a response (for example in a Sent status).
Undoing a manual completion
A contribution message that was manually completed can be reverted. Open the message and click Undo Manual Complete. The message returns to its Sent status, and any Direct Entry payment already created is left untouched.
Manually completing is the opposite of manually failing, which releases a message's deposits so they can be corrected and resent — see How Do I Manually Fail A SuperStream Message To Resend It?
