Answer
When you process Payday Super with Ozedi PayTo or PayID funds, Lightning Payroll shows a checkbox labelled Combine Ozedi PayTo/PayID contributions into one payment per method. This option only appears when your pay run includes at least one fund using an Ozedi payment method and your Ozedi credentials are configured.
What The Option Does
By default, Lightning Payroll creates one separate SuperStream message for each super fund. With this option enabled, all funds that use the same Ozedi payment method are merged into a single upload:
- All PayTo funds are combined into one SuperStream message (one automatic debit from your bank account).
- All PayID funds are combined into one SuperStream message (one manual bank transfer from you to Ozedi).
If your pay run uses both PayTo and PayID funds, you get one message per method ÔÇö two messages total, not one per fund.
What This Means For Your Bank Payment
- PayTo (combined): Ozedi debits your bank account once for the combined total of all PayTo funds. You do not need to make individual payments.
- PayID (combined): You make one manual bank transfer to your Ozedi PayID address for the combined total of all PayID funds. Without combining, you would need to send a separate PayID transfer for each fund at its exact amount.
When combined mode is active, the SuperStream Details screen notes that aggregate mode is in use so you can see exactly how much is going to each fund within the combined message.
When To Enable It
- Enable it when you have multiple super funds using the same Ozedi method and you want to make a single bank payment rather than one per fund.
- Enable it to simplify bank reconciliation ÔÇö one transaction per payment method is easier to match against your bank statement.
- Leave it unchecked if you need individual fund-level payments to appear as separate bank transactions, for example because your accounting system reconciles each fund separately.
