How do I refer someone to Lightning Payroll?
Simply log into your Client Account at https://www.lightningpayroll.com.au/account/login , click on View/Manage Referrals (under Other), enter their email address and click Refer. They will then receive a referral link to download or trial Lightning Payroll.

What triggers a successful referral?
When you have referred a user who then signs up as a paying Lightning Payroll subscriber the referral credit will be applied to your account. The new customer must purchase an eligible annual subscription: small, medium, large, enterprise, or any agent level subscription (read-only and ad-hoc support services are not eligible).
What about earning credits?
To thank you for your support, you will earn a $150 credit for each successful referral that results in a new Lightning Payroll customer. These credits can be used towards your next annual subscription renewal.
How do I redeem my credits?
When your next Lightning Payroll annual subscription renewal is due, the available credits will be automatically applied to your subscription (if enabled), and you'll only pay the remaining difference (if applicable).
What If I do not want to use my credits for a particular purchase?
You can turn credit usage on or off using the tickbox in your website account under View/Manage Referrals >> Apply Referral Discount During Checkout?. This option is only visible if you have an active referral credit balance.
How many credits can I earn?
You can "bank" up to 10 (ten) $150 credits at any one time. At this point you should consider becoming a Premium Referrer which gives significant additional rewards on top of the standard $150 referral discount credits.
When do the credits expire?
Unused credits will expire after 2 years from the date that they were earned.
Are credits redeemable for cash?
No, credits are only available for redemption against your annual subscription renewal.
What if I earn more credits than the cost of my annual subscription?
Only redeem what you need, the remainder will carry over for next year (up to the 2 year expiry date).
Is this referral program available if I am not a Lightning Payroll customer?
No, the program is only available to Lightning Payroll customers.
When I make a referral, how long does it last?
Your referral remains active for 90 days. After 90 days, the link will expire, and the referral is no longer valid.
What if someone else has already referred the same person?
Each individual email address may only be referred by one Lightning Payroll customer at any one time. If someone else has already referred your friend, you can try again after the 90-day expiry period.
Does my referral earn credits if the person does not purchase Lightning Payroll?
No, credits are only earned where the person accepts the referral before the expiration date and proceeds to purchase an annual Lighting Payroll subscription (excludes read-only subscriptions and support services).
What if the person that I'd like to refer is already considering Lightning Payroll?
If the person has already been in discussions with the Lightning Payroll team and/or has already downloaded a trial version in the past 90 days, this is not a valid referral and will not earn credits.
Are there any restrictions on who I can refer?
You can't refer an existing customer, and you can't refer yourself or receive credits for your own use of our products. Also, you should consider if the person that you are referring has a reasonable likelihood of benefiting from receiving information about Lightning Payroll. For example, are they based in Australia, and do they have a need to process payroll for 1 or more employees?
What if my referral cancels and gets a refund?
If one of your referred users cancels their paid subscription and gets refunded, your referral credits for this sale will be removed. If you have already redeemed those credits, we reserve the right to wind back your expiry date by the equivalent value of credits redeemed from the refunded referral customer.
Is there a limit on how many people I can refer?
We do place a limit on how many active referrals you can have open at any one time, this limit varies but is in place to protect the quality of referrals.
What is the duration of this Referral program promotion?
There is no end date for the promotion right now, however this may be updated in the future at the sole discretion of Intellitron Pty Ltd.
Intellitron Pty Ltd reserves the right to exclude individuals from the Referral program where there is reason to believe that the program is being used in a manner that is fraudulent, abusive, or not in the spirit that the program is intended. If we believe that there has been abusive usage of the referral program we reserve the right to wind back your expiry date by the equivalent value of any credits redeemed and exclude you from referring users in the future.
