Lightning Payroll accepts credit and debit card payments from Visa and MasterCard, processed securely by our payment partner Till Payments. If you are receiving an error when trying to pay for your licence with a card, the error message displayed on the checkout page should indicate the reason.
The most common causes of a card error are:
- Insufficient funds on the card at the time of the transaction.
- Exceeding your daily transfer or spending limit set by your bank.
- Using a card type that is not accepted, such as American Express or Diners Club.
- An expired card — check that the expiry date on your card has not passed.
- Your bank blocking the transaction as a security measure — contact your bank to authorise the payment.
