Answer
After clicking Send Messages in the SuperStream Summary, Lightning Payroll uploads each contribution message to Ozedi using a deferred-confirmation model. The SuperStream Send Status screen (a dialog on desktop; a panel in the online app) then shows each fund's current status while Ozedi processes the uploads. The screen re-checks Ozedi automatically every few seconds so you do not need to do anything while messages are processing.
What Each Status Means
- Accepted — Ozedi has confirmed it received and accepted the message. This is the terminal success state.
- Processing — the message has been uploaded to Ozedi but Ozedi has not yet accepted it. The screen continues checking automatically. No action is needed while messages are in this state.
- Failed — Ozedi rejected the message. A reason is shown in the row (hover the row on desktop to see the full text). Use Retry failed to re-upload the affected messages once you have resolved the underlying issue.
- Not sent — the message was never uploaded, for example if sending was interrupted. Use Retry failed to upload these alongside any failed messages.

The Status Summary Line
Across the top of the board you will see a count in the form X accepted · Y processing · Z failed · N not sent. This gives a quick overview of where all messages stand. The board header also describes what action (if any) is needed:
- All X messages accepted by Ozedi — every message reached a terminal success state. You can now create the Direct Entry payment file (if applicable).
- X of Y accepted — still processing — automatic checking is in progress. Wait, or click Refresh to check immediately.
- X of Y accepted — action needed — one or more messages failed or were not sent. Resolve the issue shown and click Retry failed.
Using the Buttons
- Refresh — sends a manual re-check to Ozedi right now. The button is active only when messages are still processing. After about five minutes of automatic checking the auto-poll pauses; clicking Refresh lets you keep checking manually.
- Retry failed — re-uploads all failed and not-sent messages and restarts automatic checking. Use this after fixing the cause of a failure (for example a missing member USI or invalid fund details).
- Create Direct Entry File — opens the Direct Entry wizard to generate the ABA or XML payment file. This button is locked until every message has been accepted by Ozedi. This prevents a contribution that Ozedi has not confirmed from being included in the payment file.
- Close (or Done when all accepted and no Direct Entry applies) — closes the board and returns you to the SuperStream Summary. No payment has been made at this point if you have not yet created the Direct Entry file.
Why Is Create Direct Entry File Greyed Out?
The Create Direct Entry File button remains locked until all messages reach Accepted status. If the button is still greyed out, check the board for any messages showing Processing, Failed, or Not sent. Once every message shows Accepted, the button becomes available automatically.
