Answer
This document provides instructions on how to use the Super Liability Report in Lightning Payroll to identify unpaid superannuation amounts.
Accessing the Report
To access the Super Liability Report, navigate to Super Fund Deposits >> Reports >> Super Liability within the Lightning Payroll software.
Report Overview
The Super Liability Report is designed to help you find superannuation amounts from processed pays that have not yet been assigned to a super fund deposit. This ensures that you can effectively manage and fulfil superannuation obligations for your employees.
Search Modes
The report has two distinct search modes:
- Pays Mode: This mode searches for pays within the selected date range that have super owing and no record of the pay's super on an existing deposit.
- Deposits Mode: This mode allows you to search for super from deposits, with the option to filter by paid or unpaid status. This search is based on the deposit date within the chosen date range.
Running the Report
When running the report, you can specify the following parameters:
- Start Date: The beginning date of your search range.
- End Date: The end date of your search range.
- Selections for including paid or unpaid deposits.
- Option to include super payments not yet in a deposit.
- Whether to show totals only or detailed entries.
- A choice to use the processed date when searching pays.
Note
It is important to remember that you cannot search for pays and deposits simultaneously, as they are based on different date types: pay dates for pays and deposit dates for super fund deposits.
