When you first sign in to a new Lightning Payroll online trial, a welcome dialog appears automatically. It walks you through three steps before you start using the app.
Step 1 ÔÇö Licence Agreement
Read the licence agreement displayed in the dialog, then tick I have read and agree to the licence agreement above and click Continue.
Step 2 ÔÇö How Did You Hear About Us?
Select how you found Lightning Payroll from the How did you hear about us? drop-down. If you choose Other, a text field appears for a short description. Click Continue when done, or Back to return to the licence step.
Step 3 ÔÇö Load Demo Data
The final step asks whether you would like to load demo data. Clicking Load Demo Data creates a sample company pre-filled with example employees, pays, and settings so you can explore the app straight away.
The demo company is separate from any real payroll data. When you are ready to process actual payroll, you will need to create a new company ÔÇö do not continue using the demo company for live data.
If you prefer to skip the demo and set up your own company immediately, click No Thanks. The dialog closes and you can create a new company from scratch.
