You are welcome to use Lightning Payroll for record keeping purposes only. Lightning Payroll does not interact with your bank account unless you choose to use features that do so. No payments will leave your bank account simply by recording and processing pays.
To use Lightning Payroll for record keeping only, avoid using the following features:
- Single Touch Payroll ÔÇö reports pay, tax and super information to the ATO.
- SuperStream ÔÇö submits and pays superannuation contributions electronically to super funds.
- End of Year ÔÇö lodges annual payment summary data with the ATO.
- Direct Entry ÔÇö generates a banking file to pay employees through your bank.
You can still process pays, print payslips, run reports and manage employee records without triggering any of these reporting or payment steps.
