Answer
The Missed Clock In/Out Report lists employees who were rostered to work in a chosen period but either did not clock in at all (no-show) or clocked in but never clocked out (no clock-out). It helps managers follow up on attendance exceptions before finalising a pay run.
In the Desktop App
The report is launched from the Timeclock Sync window, which you open via Pays >> Import/Manage Shifts or Rosters >> Import/Manage Shifts. Once the sync window is open, click Missed Shifts Report at the bottom of the screen.
- Go to the Pays or Rosters screen and select the relevant pay run.
- Click Import/Manage Shifts to open the Timeclock Sync window.
- Click the Missed Shifts Report button.
- A report form opens with Start Date and End Date fields pre-filled with the current pay run's dates. Adjust the dates if needed.
- Select the employees to include, or leave all unchecked to cover every employee in scope.
- Click Preview to view the report on screen, or use the export button to save a CSV file.
The report columns are Employee, Shift, Date, Rostered Start, Rostered End, Clocked In, and Issue (showing whether the problem is a no-show or a missing clock-out).
In the Online (Web/Mobile) App
The report is available from the Timeclock/Portal Shift Sync screen, which is reached via the Roster Planner.
- Open the Roster Planner for the relevant pay run.
- Click Timeclock/Portal Sync to open the Timeclock/Portal Shift Sync screen.
- Click Missed Shifts Report.
- The Missed Clock In/Out Report screen opens. Enter the Start Date and End Date for the period you want to check.
- Tick individual employees to narrow the results, or leave all unchecked to report on every employee in your scope.
- Click Generate to display the results.
- Use Download PDF or Download CSV to save or share the report.

Reading the Results
- No-show — the employee was rostered but there is no clock-in record at all for that shift.
- No clock-out — the employee clocked in but did not clock out, so the shift end time is unknown.
The summary line at the top of the report states the total number of missed events and how many employees are affected.
If no missed events are found for the period, the report displays: No missed clock in or clock out events were found for this period.
