Superannuation on Paid Parental Leave: What You Need to Know

Starting from 1 July 2025, the Australian Government will introduce superannuation guarantee payments on government-funded Paid Parental Leave (PPL). This change was announced as part of the Working for Women strategy, aiming to boost retirement savings for parents taking parental leave.
